Sharjah Safari, Sharjah
Sharjah Safari, an 800-hectare wildlife park in Sharjah’s Al Dhaid region opened in February 2022, is the Middle East’s largest safari park, replicating African ecosystems across 12 themed zones with 100,000 African trees, a natural lake, and trails for 50,000 animals like lions and elephants. OIS had a hand in its construction, shaping its naturalistic landscapes by planting native and African-inspired vegetation, such as samar trees, and installing large-scale, water-saving irrigation systems to sustain greenery in Sharjah’s desert environment. Our team constructed visitor trails, rest areas, and eco-friendly infrastructure using sustainable materials to ensure durability and minimal environmental impact, while carefully grading terrain to prevent erosion and support animal habitats, delivering a conservation-focused park that immerses visitors in an authentic African safari experience.
