Zabeel Park, Dubai
Zabeel Park, a 47.5-hectare urban oasis in Dubai’s Zabeel district opened in December 2005, is one of the city’s largest public parks, featuring the Dubai Frame, themed zones like the Alternative Energy and Techno Zones, a boating lake, and over 500 palm and other trees across lush gardens. OIS played a pivotal role in its construction, transforming a vast desert plot into a technology-driven green space by installing advanced irrigation systems to sustain expansive lawns and diverse plantings in Dubai’s arid climate, and meticulously shaping undulating landscapes with Rose and Herbal Gardens, inspired by European park aesthetics but infused with Middle Eastern flair, as designed by landscape architects Cracknell. Our team constructed pedestrian bridges, jogging tracks, and BBQ areas using durable, sustainable materials, ensuring connectivity and functionality across the park’s sectors, while laying foundations for attractions like the Dubai Frame, creating a vibrant, family-friendly destination that harmonizes nature and innovation.
